How does the free trial work?+
Describe your audit on the landing page (no credit card). Audvera assembles the engagement — objectives, risks, procedures, and evidence requests — and opens a 14-day full-access trial with that context already loaded. You start on the Starter tier by default; upgrade to Team or Enterprise any time during or after the trial.
Why is Audvera priced lower than AuditBoard or Workiva?+
Two reasons. First, the product was built AI-native from day one — we don't carry the legacy implementation and seat-count economics that older platforms do. Second, we publish our prices. Most competitors hide list pricing behind a sales call; Vendr procurement data shows AuditBoard's median ACV is around $45,900 and Workiva's is around $59,600. Audvera's Team tier at $24,000/yr for a 10-auditor team is roughly half that, with no module gating and unlimited auditee seats.
What's the difference between Starter and Team?+
Starter is a flat $12,000/yr for audit teams up to 5 auditors — designed for solo CAEs, small functions, or teams moving off Excel and SharePoint. Team is $2,400/auditor/yr with an 8-seat minimum, for mid-market internal audit functions running multiple engagements. Team adds engagement teams, RBAC, portfolio view, guided onboarding, and a no-renewal-escalator commitment on first renewal.
What's the difference between Team and Firm Starter?+
Team is for internal audit functions auditing your own organization — single workspace, no client-facing features. Firm Starter is for CPA and advisory firms auditing client organizations — one workspace per client, with cross-workspace engagement portfolio. The pricing reflects the value of the multi-client workflow, not just user count.
Do you charge per auditee or stakeholder?+
No. Auditee, stakeholder, and reviewer seats are unlimited on every tier. Per-seat charging for non-auditor users is one of the biggest contract-bloat patterns in the category, and we've deliberately removed it.
What's your renewal escalator policy?+
On the Team tier, your first renewal is at the same rate — zero escalator. Subsequent renewals are capped at 5%. We've made this commitment in writing because the typical AuditBoard pattern (documented by procurement researchers like Vendr) is +3% / +6% / +19% over three years.
What counts as a "concurrent active client engagement"?+
An engagement is "active" when it's in any state between SCOPED and ISSUED (planning through report issuance). Engagements in CHARTERED (not yet planned) and MONITORING (post-issuance follow-up) don't count toward your concurrent cap. There's no hard cap on engagements completed per year — only on how many can be in flight at once. This applies to Firm tiers; Starter and Team have unlimited internal engagements.
Can I switch tiers later?+
Yes. Upgrade is immediate; downgrade applies at the next billing cycle. If you're on Firm and downgrade to Team, your client workspaces remain readable but new client engagements aren't creatable until you upgrade back.
Is there a discount for annual billing?+
Starter and Team are annual contracts by default at the listed prices. A monthly-billing option on Starter is available at $1,200/mo (no discount; same total). Firm tiers offer ~17% annual savings versus monthly. Enterprise contracts are custom-scoped with multi-year discounts available.
What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit cards via Stripe. ACH and wire are available for annual contracts on Team, Firm, and Enterprise tiers.
Do you offer a free tier?+
No free tier, but every plan starts with a 14-day no-credit-card trial. Describe your audit on the landing page and Audvera opens the engagement with that context attached. No procurement form, no demo gate, no sales call required.
How does enterprise pricing work?+
Enterprise contracts start at $75,000/yr and scale with your auditor seat count, security requirements (custom MSA / DPA, private deployment), SSO/SCIM provisioning, and multi-workspace footprint. Most procurement closes within 30 days from initial sales call. Talk to sales for a custom quote.
